Editing Images in Photoshop

This week in e-comm we learned how to use photoshop to edit images. First we copied images form the server then we watched tutorials to learn the best tools to edit each photo. We learned a lot of new tools and how to use them.  We stated off easy by just cropping out pieces of the background that the photographer accidentally got in his shot. As the tutorials continued we had to edit the images more. In the next two images we had to take off then move the logo on a surf board. The next few images we started to edit things that took a few more steps. We learned ho to edit little spots out of the white wall in the background. We also took the logo off the man's blue shirt.  We also learned how to edit mud or skin problems off of someones face, edit background problems, and cut a tad out of a picture of clothing.         Lastly we were given three images of a girl and we instructed to put them together like a collage. First we had to make the two...

Self-Portrait Artist Statement

In my self-portrait, I chose to represent myself by recording a video of myself playing the piano. I choose to do this as my self portrait because most people don't know that I play the piano. When we watched examples of other portraits in my class I was really inspired by Regan's because to take a baking video in two minutes probably took a lot of prior planning. This shows that Regan would be a great director to have on a team in the future. There are many elements shown in my self portrait. I used books and a table sitting next to our piano to get my phone placed at the correct angle so your could see me and the piano. In addition I thought the reflection in the piano was cool so I tried to make it so you could also see my hands through the reflection. I also had to wait till the rain stopped so I would have good natural lighting form the window in that room. In conclusion, I hope that by watching this my classmates learn that I am musically talented and that I have str...

Quarter 4 Reflection

This quarter in e-Comm we got into groups to create a product and advertise it. we did this to show all of the skills we learned throughout the year in e9. We worked on the project the whole fourth quarter which seems to become very long and extensive. During this quarter as a group we faced many challenges. We ofter had creative block and would just sit the trying to figure out what to do. During this we learned that it was best to just take some time to focus on something else and then come back to it later. After making our first video we were told that if we tried a different idea might portray the product better so we took the advice and refilled our video. Overall I think the this quarter was very fund a great way to rap up the year. Since we had the whole class to work on the project it was very easy to get distracted, we had to use time management and stay on task. When we had extra time we usually just stat workingon something else or tried ways to make our product be...

Redesigning A Logo

This week in e-comm we worked on web design in dreamweaver.First we found a template from google classroom and made copies to our server folder. Then we watched a video to help us get started and learn the process. To finish we followed a checklist to make sure we had changed everything needed. At first it was kinda hard because dreamweaver is confusing but as we continued with the project it got easier. Overall I think the project was fun and a lot easier than when we had to create our own website last quarter. Below is my final product of the website.

Personality Test

This week in e-Comm we took a personality test to identify our traits and qualities. The test was about 50 questions long. At the end of the test we received four letters and percentages for each letter  to explain how much of each trait we possessed. Below are my letters and percentages after taking the personality test.   After receiving our letters we researched them to see exactly what those letters stood for and meant I realized that it as very accurate. ESPF stands for extravert, sensing, feeling and perceiving. It says that  ESPF people are usually very outgoing and enjoy being around others. Which is very true about me.   After reading more about ESPF's I came across some general facts and the core values. I especially thought some of them described me. One of my favorite things to do is dance and be with other people. Dance takes a lot of my time so I don't always get to hang out with my friends but I really enjoy spending time at dance with my...

AB Sequence Video

This week in e-comm we made a video to practice making sequence from point a to point b. We started by using a map of the school to plan our route. Then we worked as a group to storyboard our route to film are video. My role was to map out the locations and the best place to put the camera. While doing this I leaned that the angle of the camera can change the whole video. This time we didn't really have any trouble with technology since we used the same equipment as last time. Overall as a group we worked very well together and were very productive while filming and finished in one class period. If I did this again I wouldn't change anything except I would maybe do more close up to show more specifically what was happening. For are next project I think I should work on. In conclusions this project was very fun, and I learned alot.

How to Print Video

The Project: This week in e-comm we started video. We were first taught basic photography techniques. Then we were instructed the create an outline for our video using pictures. After making a power point and getting it approved we started on the video itself. We checked out equipment using iPad minis and tripods. And strutted filming a video on how to print a document. What I Learned: While making the video I learned a lot. First I learned about the rule of thirds and how to divide up the picture and where to put the focus point. Then we learned about the different shots you can take, extreme wide, medium, and extreme close up. I learned how to use a tripod and connect it to the iPad.  I also learned about the 180 degree rule and how to steady film. How it Went: Overall this project went very well. At first the tripod was very hard to use because it was hard to steady, but it got a lot easier as we went along. My group worked very well together balancing the work load evenl...
