Relief Printing: Relief Printing is a printing process where the surface faces of the paint block are inked; empty areas are ink free. Printing the image is a simple task in inking the face of the block, making it contrast more with the paper. 1.) Prep your block, you can tone it using Indian wash or jet black film ink. 2.) Place carbon paper transfer on tip of the block. 3.) Once the paper is transferred, you have the choice of what kind of composition you want to have which will have a impact on what tool you decide to press with. 4.) Roll in over the surface of the block, then place it on the press where it is past through transferring ink to paper. During Christmas break of 2016 my parents, my brother and I took a family vacation to Kauai on of the Hawaiian islands. A couple year before this trip we went to Hawaii fro another family vacation but were only there for 4-5 days. This trip we were there for 10 days so we got to do and see a lot more things. When we arrived at the airport in Kauai are luggage had Benn left at another airport where we had a layover, what a great start to the trip. The airport workers gave us some necessities like a toothbrush and toothpaste and other things like that. they told us we would be able to get our luggage in one or two days. We did not want to waste time waiting in the hotel so we went to a few local stores and bought swimsuits and another pair of clothes, and made the best of a bad situation. Even though our luggage was misplaced in the airports we still had a great time as a family on our vacation. Most of our days we just spent relaxing on the beach but a few days we traveled arou
This week in e-Comm we got into groups and made our first video in sophomore e-Comm. First we started by getting into groups which for this project we assigned so that we could get to know new people and their video talents. I newer thing to the Olathe Schools is Power 50. A 50 min period where all students eat at the same time but can sit wherever they would like with a few restrictions. We decided to make our video on where you can and cannot eat during lunch. We started off story boarding our video to plant the story line and shot and camera angles. After doing that we presented our idea to Mrs. Zimmerli, after getting approval from her we started filming. Filming was not to hard and we got done pretty fast but after we came back to edit our footage we realized we only had about 20 seconds worthy of being in the video. We then decided that we needed to story board again and film again with more detail. Overall I think this project went very well and was very fun. For next t
This week in e-Comm we were challenged to take a picture of a partner in our class and turn that picture into pop art. We were given several examples to help us with this project. First we went outside in the court yard and took pictures of our partners my partner was Macy. I tried many different ideas. after trying 2 very colorful themes and not liking them I decided to changed my mind and decided to do mainly black and white with just a little bit of color. I made the background black. Then I used the paint brush tool and to add white splatter paint in the background. I also added rectangles and other shapes to the background to make it look more like pop art. Finally I added a few filters and then decided I like it and was done. Overall this project was very fun and challenging
