Making A Website

The Project: This week in e-Comm we made a website. Mr. Olson made video for us to follow along with while making our website. We were instructed to make a home page with a side bar, and a projects page similar to the home page also with a side bar.  In the side bar we added links to the home/projects page, the ONW website, e-Comm website and our blog. On the projects page we added our favorite projects that we have done this semester. What I Learned: Overall in this week I learned a lot. I learned a new program, Dreamweaver, that I had never used before. In Dreamweaver we learned about all the different tools you can use to make a website. After making the basis of a website we learned how to add photos and videos from our projects. then when we finished we learned how to design our website and then take a screen shot of it. While making the website I learned all about the different codings and what they mean. How it Went: Overall this project was very stressful but fun. It...

The Project: Over the past few weeks in e-comm we have been making houses in google sketch-up. Our goal was to make a house based on a house we found on https://www.houseplans.com. Then we were supposed to make a basic cube based on the floor plans of our house. After making the basis we were to add the details using the tools on google sketch-up to make our house as similar to house on https://www.houseplans.com. What I Learned: During this project I learned about google sketch-up. First we learned the two ways to make things, to add or cut out, practicing by making chairs. We learned that the three basic tools of sketch-up are orbit, pan, and zoom. After learning the basics we started on our houses. Making our houses we also used the push/pull, rectangle, and paint tools. How it Went: Overall this project went very well. 10 Words That Describe Me

The Project: This week in e-comm we learned how to use photoshop to animate. On the first day we were taught about photoshop and how to use all the tools. We typed all of our words that describe us, which we picked last quarter. After we had all of our words in place we started animating. We used the video timeline, using the transition tool to move the words on and off the screen.  What I Learned: This project was very hard at first because I have never used photoshop before. When we first started I was very confused because I didn't know how to use anything. Typing out my words was fairly easy, but making the animation was difficult. After awhile it got easier. Overall this project was very funned challenging.

Making a Logo

The Process: Over the past few weeks we have been making are own logos. We started out by making sketches using our name. we made many different sketches then we narrowed it down to three. we then took those three logos and put them into adobe illustrator. Once in adobe illustrator we made different combinations of each logo. after we choose a final design in black and white we made different color combinations.    Why I choose this logo: I choose this logo because it was simple and complex at the same time. I liked the colors grey and back because the are neutral colors and could go well on anything The font I chose is very cute an happy for the Ava Clayton. The font I use fro the C was very simple and serious.

Typography

The Project: This week we did a. project in adobe illustrator to learn about typography. We started out by watching videos and looking at pictures using different fonts. For the project we used are name to show the things that make fonts different. What I learned: On the first day we watched a video about comic sands and how it was made, I never knew about that font before so that was interesting to me. As the week went on I realized I really didn't know very much about typography and fonts. I learned about serif and san serif fonts. We learned serifs made text more formal and why they are used. We also learned more about adobe illustrator, know I know a lot more about adobe. How it Went: Overall this was a very fun project to me, at the beginning I thought it would be boring, I was wrong. I learned a lot of new things about type, fonts, and adobe. The project itself was hard at first, but after I remembered about the option drag short cut to copy things it became much easie...

Jamba Juice uses the analogous colors red orange, orange, yellow orange, yellow, and green. I think the company probably choose these colors because they want to show that there juice is fresh and fruity. Complementary: Fanta uses the complementary colors blue and orange. I think the company probably choose these colors because the orange is representing the orange and the blue represents the refreshing soda. Chili's uses the complementary colors red and green. I think the company probably choose these colors because peppers are red and green. Warm Colors: McDonalds uses the warm colors red and yellow. I think the company probably choose these colors because they want to show that there food is hot  and the yellow for fries. In-N-Out uses the warm colors red and yellow. I think the c...
