Making a House

The Project:
Over the past few weeks in e-comm we have been making houses in google sketch-up. Our goal was to make a house based on a house we found on https://www.houseplans.com. Then we were supposed to make a basic cube based on the floor plans of our house. After making the basis we were to add the details using the tools on google sketch-up to make our house as similar to house on https://www.houseplans.com.

What I Learned:
During this project I learned about google sketch-up. First we learned the two ways to make things, to add or cut out, practicing by making chairs. We learned that the three basic tools of sketch-up are orbit, pan, and zoom. After learning the basics we started on our houses. Making our houses we also used the push/pull, rectangle, and paint tools.

How it Went:
Overall this project went very well. At first it was difficult to use sketch-up, but after practicing by making chairs and watching tutorials it got much easier. Making a house was very fun.

• Embed your work at the top of your blog post under your Title. These past few weeks in video we worked on recreating the Bet on It video from High School Musical 2. As a group we thought this video would be really fun to create and challenging in many ways. We also had a good idea for locations already so we thought it would be do able. We started with pre-production by dividing up the work to be efficient and effective because we wanted to have as much times as we could to film. We also decided Alex was going to act, Josh and Drew we going to mainly do the camera, and Maleah and I were going to help with choreography and making sure the video and our filming was the same and there wasn't anything weird going on. typography project

These past few weeks in graphic design we have been working on quotes in Adobe Illustrator for our typography project. We started by researching to find quotes the we liked and related to our lives. we only had to find four but at first I didn't love any of my quotes so I found about 10 and then picked my favorite four from that. then we looked at  daft.com and found fonts that we wanted to download to use in our quotes. the part was hard because a lot of the fonts I liked were similar. After the research process we started actually creating our quotes on illustrator.  First I started by typing out all my quotes in the original font. After that I organized each word and change the font then I added black and white graphics. semester reflection

This semester in video we did four major projects. My two favorite projects were the procedure video and ONW now story. Since the procedure video was our first video of the semester it took a little longer, we had about two weeks to do this video. As a group we faced many challenges with the new cameras and refreshing our editing abilities but after getting started our group did well. We were given a lot of feedback on our storyboarding and timing so we did the storyboard again with more details to have a better plan. Throughout this project I learned a lot about the new cameras and set expectations for video this year. With the cheer project we only had a week. With this project we did not face a lot of challenges our group picked a continent topic and used our time well. The only challenge was writing the voice over but we all worked together and finally got it done. In this project I learned a lot about team work and time management.
