Typography

The Project:
This week we did a. project in adobe illustrator to learn about typography. We started out by watching videos and looking at pictures using different fonts. For the project we used are name to show the things that make fonts different.

What I learned:
On the first day we watched a video about comic sands and how it was made, I never knew about that font before so that was interesting to me. As the week went on I realized I really didn't know very much about typography and fonts. I learned about serif and san serif fonts. We learned serifs made text more formal and why they are used. We also learned more about adobe illustrator, know I know a lot more about adobe.

How it Went:
Overall this was a very fun project to me, at the beginning I thought it would be boring, I was wrong. I learned a lot of new things about type, fonts, and adobe. The project itself was hard at first, but after I remembered about the option drag short cut to copy things it became much easier.

Music Video

• Embed your work at the top of your blog post under your Title. These past few weeks in video we worked on recreating the Bet on It video from High School Musical 2. As a group we thought this video would be really fun to create and challenging in many ways. We also had a good idea for locations already so we thought it would be do able. We started with pre-production by dividing up the work to be efficient and effective because we wanted to have as much times as we could to film. We also decided Alex was going to act, Josh and Drew we going to mainly do the camera, and Maleah and I were going to help with choreography and making sure the video and our filming was the same and there wasn't anything weird going on. After we had footage we all edited together since we couldn't have everyone at the same time, so we had one person run editing and everyone else helping and we rotated the main editor. As a group I think we worked together really well and dealt with the issues w...

semester reflection

This semester in video we did four major projects. My two favorite projects were the procedure video and ONW now story. Since the procedure video was our first video of the semester it took a little longer, we had about two weeks to do this video. As a group we faced many challenges with the new cameras and refreshing our editing abilities but after getting started our group did well. We were given a lot of feedback on our storyboarding and timing so we did the storyboard again with more details to have a better plan. Throughout this project I learned a lot about the new cameras and set expectations for video this year. With the cheer project we only had a week. With this project we did not face a lot of challenges our group picked a continent topic and used our time well. The only challenge was writing the voice over but we all worked together and finally got it done. In this project I learned a lot about team work and time management. Overall I think my videos turned out good some w...

Movie Trailer

The past few weeks in video we were challenged to recreate a movie trailer. My group was assigned the movie Napoleon Dynamite. We started by doing pre production. First we storyboarded, made lists of locations, characters, and probs and then screen recorded the video to break up each scene. Pre-production went well and we got it all done in plenty of time even though at times some of our group was very distracted. Next we got started on the filming process, which started off rough because we had to wait on our props. Once we started filming went smoothly. A lot of out clips were at school so that made it easy to film using class but it was very hard because of our schedules to film outside of school. The last few days before the video was due we finished our filming. When we were outside of school the group got very distracted but we finally got all our clips filmed. The editing process was very rushed and I think could have been better. I edited the clips we had a t school and I t...
